my eyes are watery.
the windows are foggy.
so i painted my name & your name
inside a perfect heart.
printed on the clear glass.
with just a touch.

tears are falling from the sky.
the weather is crying.
while im inside.
it can relate to how i feel.
so lonely & so unreal.
i don't know why.
i can't smile like before.
i can't stand it no more.
please save me from these four walls.

they keep me safe.
from the world outside.
i feel like a prisoner.
all i do is just hide.
haunted by the past.

it's only a memory.
but it's distances away
to touch again.
& it aches to know.
the past had to be let go.
they are left lingering in my mind.
like a home movie on rewind.
constantly playing inside.

the voices echo through my head.
as im retrieving the setting perfectly
in my thoughts.

my most missed memories.
were once upon a time.
they are the only thing.
keeping my hopes alive.
